PPC Manager

1. Job Purpose

To support and execute production planning and control activities to ensure timely production as per customer requirements, optimum utilization of resources, proper inventory management, and smooth coordination between Production, Stores, Purchase, Sales, Quality, and other related departments.

2. Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

· Prepare daily and weekly production plans based on customer demand, sales orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.

· Coordinate with production teams to ensure execution of planned production as per schedule.

· Monitor Plan vs. Actual Production and identify deviations.

· Follow up on pending production orders and ensure timely completion.

· Support production scheduling based on machine capacity, manpower, material availability, and priority requirements.

Work Order Management

· Create, review, release, and monitor production/work orders in the ERP system.

· Ensure work orders are released with the correct item, quantity, BOM, routing, and required dates.

· Monitor open and pending work orders and follow up with concerned departments.

· Coordinate for work order amendments, cancellations, and re-planning wherever required.

Material & Inventory Planning

· Monitor raw material, component, WIP, and finished goods availability against production requirements.

· Identify material shortages and coordinate with Stores and Purchase for timely availability.

· Monitor On-Hand, Demand, Supply, Safety Stock, and Shortage positions.

· Support inventory optimization by avoiding excess and shortage situations.

· Coordinate material availability before releasing production plans.

ERP / Oracle Activities

· Perform day-to-day PPC activities in Oracle Fusion.

· Maintain and update production-related master data and planning information as required.

· Work with BOM, Work Definitions, Work Orders, Item Structures, Operations, and Routings.

· Support FBDI uploads and data preparation in Oracle Fusion.

· Identify ERP-related planning and production issues and coordinate with IT/ERP teams for resolution.

Production Monitoring & Follow-up

· Monitor production progress against the planned schedule.

· Track delayed, pending, and aging production orders.

· Follow up with production departments for completion of planned quantities.

· Monitor production constraints such as machine breakdown, material shortage, manpower issues, trials, and other operational delays.

· Escalate critical deviations to the concerned senior/team members.

MIS & Reporting

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly PPC reports.

· Prepare Plan vs Actual, Pending Jobs, Production Efficiency, Inventory, Material Shortage, and Work Order Aging reports.

· Maintain PPC dashboards using MS Excel and Power BI.

· Analyze production and inventory data to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.

· Ensure accurate and timely submission of production-related reports to management.

Coordination

· Coordinate closely with Production, Stores, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, and IT/ERP.

· Communicate production priorities and material requirements to the concerned departments.

· Participate in production review meetings and provide relevant data and updates.

Process Improvement

· Identify gaps in the existing PPC process and suggest improvements.

· Support initiatives related to Lean Manufacturing, inventory reduction, productivity improvement, and process standardization.

· Improve accuracy and efficiency of planning through data analysis and automation.

· Support digitization and automation of PPC reports and processes.

3. Required Qualifications

· B.Tech / B.E.

· 1–2 years of relevant experience in Production Planning & Control, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.

4. Required Skills

· Good knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC).

· Basic understanding of BOM, Routing, Work Orders, MRP, Inventory, and Production Scheduling.

· Working knowledge of MS Excel including XLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS / COUNTIFS, IF / IFS, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Power Query, and Dashboards.

· Knowledge of Oracle Fusion is preferred.

· Basic knowledge of data analysis.

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Good coordination and communication skills.

· Ability to work with large volumes of production and inventory data.

· Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

· Production Plan vs Actual ≥ target.

· On-time completion of production orders.

· Reduction in pending/aging work orders.

· Material availability for planned production.

· Inventory accuracy and optimization.

· Planning accuracy.

· Timely release and closure of work orders.

· Accuracy and timeliness of PPC reports.

· Reduction in production planning-related delays.

6. Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have 4–9 years of experience in a manufacturing/PPC environment, with good knowledge of production planning, inventory monitoring, ERP systems, and Excel-based reporting. The candidate should be analytical, proactive, and comfortable coordinating with multiple departments to ensure smooth execution of production plans.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
