About the role
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the PPIC Manager will oversee the end-to-end planning cycle from raw material receiving (harvest shipments) through processing, freezing, and cold storage dispatch. You will balance plant production capacity with sales export schedules while maintaining yield standards, minimizing cold storage overhead, and ensuring compliance with international food safety frameworks.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute master production plans aligned with raw shrimp harvest arrivals, processing capacity (sorting, peeling, grading, freezing), and export shipment timelines
- Monitor raw material freshness, grade distributions, and weight yields (HL/HO, PD, PTO, EZ Peel) to balance production targets and reduce product give-away/waste
- Manage cold room turnover, FIFO/FEFO protocols, finished goods stacking, and real-time inventory tracking to maximize storage capacity and preserve product quality
- Partner with Raw Material Procurement and Purchasing to match incoming pond harvests with processing schedules and packaging material inventory (cartons, inner polybags, glaze packaging)
- Maintain accurate production and inventory data in the company's ERP system, analyzing variance between planned vs. actual output and yield performance
- Work closely with QA/QC to ensure all planned batches comply with HACCP, BRCGS, BAP, and customer-specific product specifications
- Manage, mentor, and evaluate the PPIC team (supervisors, material control staff, cold storage schedulers)
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Fisheries/Aquaculture Management, Operations, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in PPIC within a seafood processing plant (frozen shrimp experience preferred), with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead capacity
- Solid understanding of cold chain logistics, cold storage operations, and seafood yield calculations (HO to HL/PD Conversion)
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, BAP, BRCGS) as they relate to batch traceability and packaging
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel for capacity planning and material forecasting
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and cross-department communication skills
- Willing to be based full-time in Situbondo, East Java
