What they need

Join Our Team at St Pius OSHC, Banyo!
St Pius Outside School Hours Care in Banyo is looking for an experienced and qualified Educator to join our team in a permanent part-time role of 15 hours per week. We are specifically seeking OSHC-experienced educators who hold a current qualification in Children's Services — this role is best suited to those already working in the sector rather than those currently studying.

Located on the grounds of St Pius Catholic Primary School, our service supports families in the Banyo and Nudgee community, providing before school care, after school care, and vacation care for up to 150 children. With a dedicated OSHC space and access to fantastic school facilities — including an oval, hall, and undercover areas — we create an enriching and engaging experience for every child in our care.

We are also currently seeking casual educators to join our team at St Pius OSHC. If you're looking for flexibility rather than a permanent role, please note that casual positions are available at the same pay rate plus a 25% casual loading — a great option for those wanting variety and flexibility in their hours.
If you're passionate about making a genuine difference in children's lives and ready to bring your OSHC experience to a fantastic team, we'd love to hear from you — apply today!

A Day in the Life of an OSHC Educator…

  • Provide warm, nurturing care for children across before school, after school, and vacation care
  • Create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all
  • Design and lead fun, inclusive recreational and educational experiences
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all team members
  • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
  • Join exciting excursions and special events during vacation care
  • Feel proud to come to work knowing you're making a real difference in children's lives every day

Job Requirements:

  • Hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services or an ACECQA approved equivalent — a current qualification is essential for this role
  • Demonstrated experience working in an OSHC setting is highly regarded
  • Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Current or up-to-date Child Protection training (preferred)
  • A passion for the education and care of school-aged children in a play-based environment
  • Effective workplace communication skills

Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary - Earn a salary that mirrors your expertise and accomplishments, turning your qualifications and experience into exciting financial rewards (casual educators receive the same rate plus 25% casual loading)
  • Flexible work location - Work from one primary service with the opportunity to work additional shifts across CEEC's 130+ services, if desired
  • Work life balance - Benefit from the flexibility of split shifts, allowing you to tailor your work hours to fit your lifestyle and achieve a balance between personal and professional pursuits
  • Reward and Recognition Program - Be acknowledged and rewarded for your amazing work and outstanding contribution
  • Employee Referral Bonus - Know someone who'd be a great fit? Refer them to join CEEC and receive a referral bonus as a thank-you for helping grow our team
  • Up to 95% Childcare Discount - Take advantage of generous staff discounts across 130+ CEEC services — supporting both your career and your family

Our Commitment to Keeping our Staff and Children Safe:
Catholic Early EdCare is dedicated to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in its care and maintains a zero-tolerance approach to any form of abuse. The protection of children is our highest priority. To uphold this commitment, we conduct referee checks and criminal history screenings as part of our recruitment process, and all employees working with children must hold a current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

How to Apply: Ready to embark on this exciting journey with us? To apply, submit your resume, along with a cover letter telling us why you're the perfect fit for the role.
