Practice Leader – Adaptive from Workday
Revelwood, a premier FP&A technology consultancy with over 30 years of industry leadership, is seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Practice Leader to spearhead the next chapter of our Adaptive from Workday practice.
For the past eight years, Revelwood has partnered with finance teams across North America to deploy and optimize Adaptive from Workday. As market dynamics shift and FP&A demands evolve, we are positioning the practice for its next phase of scale and impact. This high-visibility, "player-coach" role is designed for an experienced practitioner who wants the strategic autonomy to revitalize delivery methodologies, mentor a dedicated team, and partner directly with executive leadership and business development to drive practice growth.
If you are a seasoned Adaptive Planning architect who understands the strategic office of the CFO, commands executive rooms, and thrives on building high-performing consulting teams, this is your opportunity to put your stamp on an established, respected brand.
Core Responsibilities:
Practice Strategy & Growth
- Define the Practice Vision: Lead the strategic roadmap for the Adaptive from Workday practice, aligning delivery capabilities with market opportunities to drive sustained utilization and revenue growth.
- Partner on Business Development: Collaborate closely with the Sales and Business Development teams to qualify pipeline, craft compelling solution architectures, participate in scoping and pre-sales demonstrations, and write impactful statements of work (SOWs).
- Innovate Delivery Methodologies: Continuously refine Revelwood’s implementation frameworks, proprietary models, and reusable assets to reduce time-to-value for clients and scale service delivery.
Delivery Excellence & Client Advisory
- Executive Project Oversight: Serve as the strategic advisor and escalation lead across client engagements, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standard of client satisfaction.
- Hands-on Solution Architecture: Maintain player-coach involvement on complex or flagship implementations, translating complex financial planning and reporting requirements into scalable Adaptive models.
- Executive Engagement: Build trusted relationships with CFOs, VPs of Finance, and enterprise project sponsors, acting as a credible advisor on financial planning transformation.
Team Leadership & Operations
- Talent Development & Mentorship: Lead, coach, and retain consulting personnel, establishing clear career progression pathways, conduct skill assessments, and cultivate internal expertise.
- Practice Operations: Partner with Professional Services Group (PSG) leadership to manage resource allocation, project scheduling, utilization targets, and recruitment.
- Knowledge Management: Drive continuous internal training programs to ensure the team remains at the leading edge of Adaptive from Workday releases and FP&A best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in FP&A, business consulting, or enterprise software implementation, with a progressive track record of leadership.
- Technical Mastery: 6+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience designing, configuring, and deploying Adaptive from Workday solutions across diverse business models and industries.
- Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of core FP&A processes, including driver-based budgeting, rolling forecasts, balance sheet/cash flow modeling, consolidations, and executive dashboarding.
- Leadership & Coaching: Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and elevate technical consultants while maintaining high engagement and delivery standards.
- Pre-Sales & Scoping Acumen: Proven success supporting the sales cycle through technical demonstrations, scoping, estimation, and executive presentation.
- Executive Presence: Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to lead design workshops and influence C-level stakeholders.
- Cultural Alignment: High integrity, collaborative mindset, and passion for continuous improvement in line with Revelwood’s core values.
Note: Salary is commensurate with relevant experience and skills, and location, among others. Revelwood, in good faith, believes that the posted salary range is accurate for this role. We believe that our salary ranges are competitive relative to our organization size and industry. Additional components include bonus, healthcare benefits, 401K, paid time off and various work perks. Details will be discussed during the interview process. This range may be modified in the future.
