Practice Nurse

About the role

Lifeline Healthcare Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Nurse to join their team in Romsey, VIC. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care and support to patients within our medical practice. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work within a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, including health assessments, administering medication, coordinating referrals and follow-ups
2. Assisting with the management of chronic conditions and the implementation of treatment plans
3. Providing health education and promoting preventative care to patients
4. Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with medical practice protocols
5. Collaborating with the medical team to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care
6. Undertaking a range of administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice

What we're looking for

1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Australian work rights are mandatory for this position
3. Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Practice Nurse or in a similar primary care setting
4. Strong clinical skills, including experience in health assessments, wound management, and medication administration
5. Immunisation administration experience is essential
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
7. Proficient in using medical software and technology to support patient care
8. Experience with Best Practice medical software system is preferred
9. Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care and a genuine interest in contributing to the overall wellbeing of the community
