Practice Nurse

Work with a fantastic team providing high quality patient and whānau centred primary health care across two central Auckland clinics in Britomart and Wynyard Quarter. We are a supportive, fun, general practice where each day is different

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our busy general practice team.

Hours of work will be 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and some Saturday mornings (usually 1 per month), 9am to 1pm (paid time and a half).

This role includes triaging urgent and non-urgent patients, wound care, ECGs, immunisations, assisting minor surgery, management of long term conditions, pre-employment medicals, drug screening, administering IV fluids and infusions, and venipuncture. Training will be provided.

You will need:

• A current Nursing Council of New Zealand Practising Certificate
• Previous Practice Nurse experience
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Commitment to clinical excellence and ongoing learning
• Practice that aligns with the principles Te Tiriti O Waitangi

An added bonus would be if you had some or all of the following skills:

• Cervical Sample Taker certificate
• Independent Vaccinator certificate
• Phlebotomy and cannulation
• Drug and alcohol screening certificates
• Pre-employment medical experience
• Medtech Evolution experience
