Practice Nurse

About the role

A rewarding casual or part-time Practice Nurse role is available with Michigan Drive Medical Practice in Oxenford, QLD. As a Practice Nurse, you will be an integral member of the healthcare team, providing high-quality nursing care to patients and supporting the efficient operation of the medical practice.

Key responsibilities

• Delivering primary and preventive nursing care to patients, including conducting health assessments, GPCCMP, Ear Syringing, Administering immunisations, Conducting Spirometry, Administering medications, and providing health education to our patients
• Coordinating patient referrals and bookings, and assisting with the management of patient records, with high accuracy in documentation
• Supporting clinical procedures such as skin excisions, wound care, iron infusions and providing assistance to our general practitioners
• Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organised clinical environment, maintaining high standards of practice in accordance with RACGP Guidelines and Infection Control Standards
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality standards of patient care within the practice

About you

• Enrolled or Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Minimum 1 years' experience in a general practice or primary care setting highly desired
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based nursing practice
• Excellent communication, documentation and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with the healthcare team and patients
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
• Proficient in the use of Best Practice Premier medical software
