Join our friendly team in beautiful South Devon!
Are you a qualified nurse looking for a rewarding role part-time role where you can become a valued member of a genuinely close-knit team?
We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our team at Chillington Health Centre.
We are a small, friendly rural dispensing GP practice caring for approximately 3,700 patients across Chillington and the surrounding villages.
Our size is one of our strengths. We have a strong community ethos, know our patients well and pride ourselves on providing friendly, personal and high-quality care. We are also a team where people know and support one another and where every member has an important part to play.
A wonderful team to join
You will be joining an established and supportive clinical team comprising three GP Partners, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and two GP Assistants, alongside our experienced administrative, reception and dispensary teams.
We work closely together and value good communication, teamwork and a friendly, supportive working environment. As a smaller practice, there is a real opportunity to get to know both your colleagues and your patients and to feel genuinely part of the practice and the community we serve.
About the role
We have up to 18 hours per week available on a part-time basis and are happy to discuss a flexible working pattern with the right candidate. This could include two days working 8.00am–6.00pm, but we are open to discussing how the available hours could work for you.
You'll provide a wide range of nursing services, including childhood and adult immunisations, travel vaccinations, long-term condition reviews, cervical screening, wound care, Doppler assessments and the administration of prescribed injections, including Depo-Provera, Decapeptyl and Prolia.
You'll work closely with our GPs and wider clinical team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
Who we're looking for
You must be a qualified Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and have excellent communication skills, a caring and a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
Previous experience in general practice is desirable, but not essential. We would also welcome applications from nurses with transferable clinical skills who are enthusiastic about developing their careers in primary care.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who will enjoy becoming part of our team and shares our friendly, patient-focused rural practice ethos.
We don't expect you to be experienced in every aspect of the role. Training and development opportunities can be discussed depending on the experience and skills of the successful candidate.
