Hours: Full-time (40 hours) and part-time available
Salary: £17 - £23 per hour dependent on experience

Are you an experienced Practice Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and supporting people to live healthier lives?

At One Medical Group, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our team in Milton Keynes. You will work across our three GP practices: Whitehouse Surgery, Brooklands Health Centre and Neath Hill Health Centre, with your main base at Whitehouse Surgery.

This is a varied primary care nursing role where you’ll provide a broad range of services, including long-term condition management, health promotion, immunisations, wound care and cervical cytology.

Working closely with our multidisciplinary teams, you’ll play an important role in supporting patients to manage their health and wellbeing while contributing to the delivery of safe, effective and evidence-based care across our Milton Keynes practices.

Why OneMedical Group?

For over 20 years, OneMedical Group has been redefining how healthcare is delivered in the UK. As a leading independent, family-run healthcare organisation, we provide NHS services at scale and design, build and manage the spaces where care happens, bringing everything together under one roof.

We believe the best places to work are created by people who genuinely love what they do and celebrate each other’s success. Our culture combines national ambition with genuine family heart, with a workplace rooted in trust, empowerment and collaboration.

Above all, we are united by a shared purpose: creating spaces and delivering services that make a lasting, positive difference to the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As Practice Nurse, you’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients across our Milton Keynes practices, supporting prevention, early intervention and the effective management of long-term conditions.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Long-Term Condition Management: Assessing, planning and reviewing individualised care for patients with long-term conditions, supporting ongoing monitoring and effective self-management.
  • Health Promotion & Prevention: Providing health education, lifestyle advice, screening and preventative interventions to help patients maintain and improve their health.
  • Vaccinations & Immunisations: Delivering adult and childhood vaccination and immunisation programmes, as well as travel health advice and vaccinations where appropriate.
  • Cervical Cytology & Women’s Health: Undertaking cervical cytology consultations in line with the national cervical screening programme and providing contraception and sexual health advice within your competencies.
  • Wound Care: Assessing and managing uncomplicated wounds using evidence-based practice.
  • Patient Assessment: Assessing and prioritising patients presenting with routine, urgent or emergency needs and responding appropriately within your scope of practice.
  • Safeguarding: Recognising and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns involving children and vulnerable adults.
  • Quality & Governance: Maintaining accurate clinical records and contributing to QOF, enhanced services, clinical audit, incident reviews, peer review and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborative Working: Working closely with colleagues across the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, coordinated and patient-centred care.

What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced Practice Nurse who is confident delivering a broad range of nursing services within primary care.

You’ll bring:

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • A degree in Nursing.
  • Substantial experience working as a Practice Nurse.
  • Experience delivering vaccination and immunisation programmes.
  • Knowledge of NICE guidance, National Service Frameworks and evidence-based practice.
  • A good understanding of QOF and enhanced services.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding requirements for children and vulnerable adults.
  • The ability to maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records.
  • The ability to prioritise your workload and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement and ongoing professional development.

A Long-Term Condition Diploma and evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) would be advantageous.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who is committed to delivering safe, compassionate and high-quality care and enjoys working collaboratively to make a positive difference to patients and the communities we serve.

What We Offer

  • Salary: £17 - £23 per hour dependent on experience
  • Annual Leave: 25 days plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata) to increase with the length of service, plus an extra day of leave awarded for every year of service.
  • NHS Pension
  • Work-Life Balance: Supportive working environment alongside enhanced Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Pay.
  • Health & Benefits: 24/7 confidential mental health support via Health Assured EAP, Eye Care vouchers, Cycle to Work scheme and OMG’s ‘Refer a Friend’ cash bonus scheme.
