Jema Clinic is an accredited, doctor-owned general practice operating across two locations in Maryborough, Queensland. The clinic provides comprehensive healthcare services spanning general practice, family health, chronic disease management, mental health care, women's and men's health, immunisations, skin cancer services, medicinal cannabis, and NDIS services. Unlike a corporate medical centre, Jema Clinic is proudly owned and operated by approachable doctors who remain actively involved and present within the practice.
  
What you'll be doing?   

• Coordinating daily operations: Help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic, keeping things organised and efficient for staff and patients alike.
• Supporting patient and doctor workflows: Play a key role in making sure patient care and clinical workflows run efficiently across both locations.
• Leading and mentoring the team: Guide and support reception, nursing, allied health, and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.
• Supporting people processes: Assist with recruitment, induction, training, and performance management to help build a strong and capable team.
• Maintaining compliance: Help the clinic stay on top of RACGP Standards, privacy requirements, workplace health and safety, and accreditation obligations.
• Monitoring systems and performance: Keep an eye on administrative systems, online bookings, and operational performance to drive continuous improvement.
• Contributing to business growth: Work closely with the owners on ideas to improve efficiency, marketing, and overall business growth.
• Championing workplace culture: Help promote a professional, positive, and patient-focused environment that staff and patients genuinely enjoy.
• Working across locations: Support operations across both Jema Clinic sites in Maryborough as needed.

Who are they looking for?   

• Relevant experience: Previous experience in practice supervision or practice management within an Australian general practice is sought.
• Medicare and systems knowledge: A strong understanding of Medicare billing, PRODA, and general practice operations will be important for this role.
• Compliance awareness: Familiarity with RACGP accreditation and healthcare compliance requirements is highly valued.
• Clinical software experience: Experience using Best Practice, MedicalDirector, or similar clinical software would be a strong asset.
• Leadership and communication skills: Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills are needed to support and guide the team effectively.
• Relationship building: The ability to build effective relationships with doctors, staff, and patients is important for success in this role.
• A proactive mindset: A proactive, organised, and solution-focused approach to work is encouraged.
• Juggling priorities: The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment will be key.
• Financial literacy: Financial literacy is required, and experience using Xero or similar accounting software is highly regarded.
• Willingness to relocate: A genuine willingness to relocate to Hervey Bay or the surrounding Fraser Coast region is essential for this opportunity.
