This position pays $20/hour, and once you've achieved a level of competence and productivity comparable to an apprentice, you will become a first year and start your trades journey towards your Red Seal in one of the highest paying trades in Canada.

Apprentice Fire Sprinkler System Installers Earn:

1st year rate = $25/hour + vacation and stat pay

3rd year rate = $35/hour + vacation and stat pay

Mostly Edmonton area work, but we do work throughout Western Canada. You get an extra $10/hour live out allowance when working out of town, plus we pay for your hotel room, and you get paid for drive time. Company vans are used for out of town work.

Must haves:

  • Valid driver's license

  • Own reliable vehicle for getting to and from jobsites when working in town

  • High school transcript showing all classes taken, and grades in each one. You can get this in the form of an "unofficial transcript" for free online in Alberta. Or you can call the high school you graduated from for assistance.

This job involves installing, servicing, and maintaining piping systems in new and existing buildings. These piping systems are used for fire protection purposes. During your 4-year apprenticeship, you will be working with a red seal tradesperson who will teach you all aspects of the trade. There are 3 levels of schooling, 8 weeks in duration each, that you will attend after accumulating the required amount of work hours to enroll.

We look for people who are both mentally and physically strong, and have the right attitude and mindset to succeed at this long term.
