Preconstruction & Design Manager

You work closely with

• Sales - Understand client needs, align on project expectations, and support a smooth transition from sales to preconstruction.
• Production - Develop the project roadmap and deliver a complete, coordinated handoff for execution.
• Clients - Build trust, guide design decisions, and communicate expectations throughout preconstruction.
• Estimating - Coordinate scope, selections, and project details to support accurate pricing.

Core Responsibilities

• Plan & Coordinate
• Meet with prospective and current clients
• Coordinate design decisions and review project scopes
• Create and maintain complete, accurate project records in JobTread
• Coordinate engineering plans and preconstruction schedules
• Manage the selection submittal process from initial selection through client approval

Document & Prepare

• Source and coordinate material and finish samples for client review
• Prepare and maintain product specifications and data sheets
• Produce beauty drawings and shop drawings
• Prepare construction documents and verify site measurements
• Identify hardware requirements, lead times, and order-by dates; place orders when authorized

Hand Off & Support

• Develop clear scope and project assumptions
• Identify long-lead items and schedule constraints
• Improve cabinet and millwork production handoff processes
• Deliver a coordinated roadmap to production

Responsibilities by Project Phase

• Discover & Design
• Clarify client needs, develop scope, coordinate design decisions, selections, samples, and plans.

Document & Handoff

• Complete construction and shop drawings, confirm measurements and lead times, organize JobTread, and transfer a build-ready plan to production.

Qualififactions

• Requires detailed knowledge of cabinetry construction methods
• Custom millwork, appliance integration, materials, finishes, and hardware systems.
• Candidates should have experience with design and rendering software and provide a portfolio demonstrating high-end residential work, including cabinetry, millwork, and integrated design solutions.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
