Pre-K Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-K Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom that promotes curiosity, social-emotional and spiritual growth, and foundational skills. Duties

• Implement creative, age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
• Facilitate engaging classroom activities that support child development milestones and promote active participation.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student development and attendance.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is required; lead classroom experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of child development principles, childhood education best practices, and classroom management techniques.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing methods for early learners.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required but not at time of hire ; ongoing training in child welfare and safety protocols is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community partners.
• Knowledge of biblical principles that will be taught and incorporated into learning.

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
