Duties

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
• Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and classroom management strategies.
• Engage children in hands-on activities that support child development instruction and encourage curiosity and exploration.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, discuss concerns, and promote active involvement in their child's education.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development initiatives and participate in ongoing professional development related to special education, early intervention, and childhood development.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including child development instruction and preschool teaching methodologies.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
• Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and literacy education methods.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners using excellent communication skills.
• Valid first aid and CPR certification; ongoing commitment to child safety standards.
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and protection.
• Experience teaching physical education or math is a plus; familiarity with standardized testing is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
