Pre-litigation Paralegal

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pre-litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing the early stages of legal cases, supporting attorneys with case preparation, research, and client communication. Your proactive approach and strong legal support skills will help streamline pre-litigation processes, ensuring efficient case handling from initial contact through investigation and document review. Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with case intake, including interviewing clients and witnesses to gather relevant information
• Conduct thorough legal research across various practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and civil litigation support
• Manage and organize case files using document management systems like iManage and legal case management software such as PCLaw
• Draft and review legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials with precision and attention to detail
• Support project management efforts by tracking case deadlines, filing schedules, and procedural requirements in compliance with applicable laws
• Conduct comprehensive document review utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis for relevant legal research and case analysis
• Maintain confidential client information with the utmost discretion while ensuring accuracy in all documentation and communications

Requirements

• Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in legal support functions across multiple practice areas including general & commercial litigation, personal injury, estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, patent law, tribal regulations, and workers' compensation law
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis), and document management systems (iManage)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle client interactions professionally
• Knowledge of procedural law requirements and familiarity with litigation processes from pre-litigation through case review stages
• Experience with legal drafting, proofreading, document review, and file management
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism
• Excellent interviewing skills combined with a proactive attitude toward project management and case development

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
