Pre-Op/PACU RN job description

The Pre-Op/PACU RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre-op and post surgical patients in a manner consistent with our mission statement. Nurses work within both pre-op holding and PACU (post-anesthesia care unit), where patients are cared for and monitored as they recover from the effects of anesthesia. The nurses responsibilities include all aspects of patient care prior to and following surgery. This care includes monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and respiration, as well as managing the pain and nausea that often follow anesthesia.

GI RN - experience with GI cases and working one on one with the physicians and oversight of the patient and room. Must have experience and able to manage the area.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week

• RN (Required)
• ACLS (Preferred)
• PALS (Preferred)
