About Us Grubbs Family of Dealerships is a multi-brand, family-owned automotive group with deep roots across the DFW Metroplex and the state of Texas. We’ve built our reputation on doing right by our customers and our people — and we’re looking for team members who share those values.

When you join Grubbs, you join a culture built on integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement. We set a high bar — and we give you the training, tools, and support to clear it.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a skilled Preowned Automotive Technician to inspect, recondition, and service our used vehicle inventory. Your work directly impacts the quality, safety, and value of every vehicle we put on the front line — and we hold reconditioning to the same standard a customer would expect on a brand-new car.

What You’ll Do

• Perform thorough, honest used-vehicle inspections and complete reconditioning to front-line-ready standard
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues accurately across multiple makes and models
• Complete safety inspections and any certification (CPO) requirements to the letter
• Document all needed and completed repairs clearly and communicate condition to management
• Work efficiently to keep reconditioning timelines tight so vehicles hit the line fast
• Flag safety concerns and quality issues — never pass a vehicle that isn’t right
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and properly care for shop equipment

The Standard We Hold

We set a high bar at Grubbs. In this role, success means consistently delivering on the following:

• Every vehicle leaves recon safe, sound, and front-line ready — no comebacks
• Honest, thorough inspections that protect the customer and the Grubbs name
• Tight reconditioning turnaround to keep inventory moving
• Accurate documentation on every unit
• Quality and safety never compromised for speed

What We’re Looking For

• Automotive repair experience across multiple brands preferred
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
• ASE certifications a plus
• Own a basic set of tools
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Why Grubbs?

• Steady, year-round volume of reconditioning work
• Paid training and certification support
• Well-equipped shop with strong support staff
• Family-owned, people-first culture — you’re not a number here
• Health, dental, and vision benefits
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid time off
