Pre - Sales Specialist - Surveillance Solution

Role & responsibilities

Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Specialist Video Security Products with 10 to 15 years of experience in designing, presenting, and supporting integrated video surveillance and security solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in CCTV, IP video surveillance, VMS, analytics, access control integration, and security technologies, combined with excellent customer-facing and solution-selling skills. The role will involve understanding customer requirements, developing technical solutions, preparing proposals and BOQs, conducting product demonstrations, and supporting the sales team throughout the complete sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities: Understand customer requirements and translate them into technically appropriate video security solutions. Design end-to-end CCTV and video surveillance solutions for enterprise, commercial, industrial, government, and infrastructure projects. Provide pre-sales technical support to the sales team, channel partners, consultants, and customers. Prepare solution architectures, technical proposals, BOQs, BOMs, compliance statements, and system specifications. Conduct product presentations, technical workshops, proofs-of-concept (PoCs), and demonstrations. Recommend appropriate cameras, NVRs, VMS platforms, storage, servers, networking equipment, video analytics, and related security products. Develop solutions involving IP CCTV, PTZ cameras, thermal cameras, ANPR/LPR, video analytics, AI-based surveillance, perimeter security, and centralized monitoring. Understand and support integration of video surveillance with access control, intrusion detection, fire alarm, building management, and other security systems. Work closely with customers, system integrators, consultants, architects, and project teams to finalize technical requirements. Analyze RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and customer specifications and prepare technical compliance documentation. Coordinate with product managers, OEMs, distributors, and internal engineering teams for solution validation and product selection. Support sales negotiations by providing technical clarifications and value-based solution recommendations. Conduct site surveys and prepare technical assessment reports where required. Stay updated on emerging technologies in AI video analytics, cloud surveillance, edge computing, cybersecurity, and smart security solutions. Provide technical support during project handover and assist the implementation team when required.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IP CCTV and video surveillance systems. Experience with major VMS platforms, NVR/DVR systems, IP cameras, PTZ, thermal imaging, and video analytics. Understanding of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, PoE, VLANs, bandwidth calculations, and network architecture. Knowledge of video storage calculations, server requirements, redundancy, and system scalability. Familiarity with ONVIF and integration standards. Understanding of ANPR/LPR, people counting, facial recognition, intrusion detection, and other AI/video analytics technologies. Knowledge of security system integration and API-based integrations is desirable. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, RFPs, and tender documents. Strong MS Office and presentation skills.
