Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-school Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team on a term-time-only basis 9:00am-3:00pm. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where young children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Your leadership and management abilities will ensure that every child receives high-quality care and education, fostering their growth during their formative years. Duties

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development in line with curriculum standards
• Supervise and support children’s daily routines, including play, learning, meal times, and rest periods
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and independence
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and external professionals to support each child's individual needs
• Lead by example in managing classroom behavior positively and constructively
• Support the management team with daily operational tasks and contribute to team meetings
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and childcare standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
• Knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood education principles, and safeguarding procedures
• Excellent communication skills in to engage confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to organize activities efficiently while maintaining a lively and motivating atmosphere
• Valid childcare or nursery qualification (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent)
• Driving license is preferred for roles requiring travel between sites or community engagement activities

Pay: From £12.80 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
