PRECAST ENGINEER (BUILDING CONSTRUCTION)

About the role

We are seeking a Precast Engineer with relevant experience in Singapore's building construction industry to coordinate and oversee precast concrete works for our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating precast drawings, production, delivery, and site installation to ensure works are completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications and construction schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee precast concrete works from shop drawing preparation through production, delivery and site installation.
• Review precast shop drawings, connection details, technical submissions and construction specifications.
• Liaise with consultants, precast suppliers, subcontractors and site teams to resolve technical and coordination issues.
• Monitor precast production progress, quality requirements and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate site readiness, lifting arrangements, installation sequences and interfaces with structural and architectural works.
• Monitor precast installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements and project requirements.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies involving precast dimensions, connections, embedded items and site conditions.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor workmanship and coordinate defect rectification.
• Maintain precast progress records, inspection documentation and technical submissions.
• Ensure precast activities comply with project quality and workplace safety requirements.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in precast concrete works within Singapore's building construction industry.
• Good understanding of precast production processes, installation methods and construction sequencing.
• Able to interpret structural drawings, precast shop drawings and connection details.
• Experience coordinating with precast suppliers, consultants and construction site teams.
• Familiar with Singapore construction practices, quality requirements and site safety procedures.
• Strong technical coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple work activities effectively.
