About Anderson Express
Anderson Express is a Tier 1 partner to leading Automotive and Military programs. Our engineering team tackles complex challenges, rapidly launching custom-engineered machining and assembly solutions. We are the go-to provider for Ford Motor Company and Laser Access, and as a tightly knit, growth-minded team, we value people who want to advance with us year after year.
A Day in the Role
You kick off your shift by loading the correct program, touching off tools, and dialing in offsets. As parts start to flow, you’re checking features against prints using calipers, micrometers, pin and thread gauges—qualifying good from bad with confidence. A changeover request comes in; you switch jobs efficiently, swap worn tooling, and train an operator on best practices, keeping downtime to a minimum. Throughout the day you collaborate with assembly personnel and operators, keeping communication clear and production moving.
What You’ll Do
- Own machine setup, job changeovers, and tool offsets for consistent part quality.
- Inspect, replace, and manage tooling to maximize uptime.
- Load CNC programs and verify correct execution (G-code/M-code savvy).
- Safely load/unload parts and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Use precision metrology to validate parts: calipers, micrometers, pin/thread gauges, ring gauges, refractometer, and scales.
- Accurately clock in/out of jobs and record time spent.
- Sort conforming vs. nonconforming parts with sound judgment.
- Stand for extended periods and perform other assigned duties as needed.
What You Bring
- 2–3 years of CNC operator experience (preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Comfort working in a shop environment.
- Solid math and analytical ability.
- Clear written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills.
