What they need

Lead precision fabrication that powers life-changing medical devices

At Avalign, we design, engineer, and manufacture advanced, high‑performance medical devices that clinicians rely on every day. Our fast‑growing team takes pride in building custom solutions that meet exacting quality specifications and make a real difference for caregivers and their patients.

A day in this role (2nd shift)

As the Precision Fabrication Team Supervisor, you open second shift with a quick huddle: review prints and work orders, assign operators, and align priorities to the schedule. You spot‑check parts for visual and dimensional accuracy, coach an operator on blueprint interpretation, and verify gauges are used correctly. Mid‑shift, you coordinate maintenance on a press brake, escalate an equipment issue, and ensure the cell stays clean and safe. You wrap up by confirming production targets, documenting any variances, and planning cross‑training for tomorrow.

Core responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, work orders, operation sheets, part numbers, and related documentation to determine correct operations and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate production to meet schedule commitments; uphold safety, quality, and equipment care policies at all times.
  • Oversee routine machine care; promptly report malfunctions and drive follow‑up actions; maintain orderly, clean, and safe work areas.
  • Perform periodic in‑process inspections to ensure both visual and dimensional conformance; utilize calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and squares.
  • Partner closely with the area supervisor to build teamwork, confirm product accuracy, and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Provide day‑to‑day guidance, training, and cross‑training; plan, assign, and direct work related to operating requirements, safety, and quality.
  • Assist as needed with interviewing, hiring, performance reviews, recognition, coaching/discipline, complaint handling, and issue resolution.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of fabrication experience.
  • Preferred: college degree and prior leadership/supervisory experience.

How you work

  • Self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Fast learner eager to deepen knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Dependable and punctual—your team counts on you.
  • Collaborative, positive, and team‑oriented approach to assignments.
  • Skilled at planning and executing work across teams; strong written and verbal communication.

Your toolkit

  • Proficient in GD&T, blueprint reading, and frontline supervisory practices.
  • Hands‑on with: CNC Laser Cutter, CNC Waterjet, Punch Press, Press Brake, CNC Plasma Cutter.

What you won’t experience here

  • Feeling stuck—growth and learning opportunities abound.
  • Monotony—our product mix is diverse, and no two days are alike.
  • Being just a number—we operate as a close‑knit, supportive team.

Benefits and support

  • Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision).
  • Paid vacation plus 10 paid holidays each year.
  • Employer‑funded Basic Life & AD&D, STD, and LTD insurance.
  • Tuition reimbursement to fuel your development.
  • 401(k) with company match and a generous employee referral bonus.
  • Performance‑driven culture that promotes from within; temperature‑controlled environment.
  • Community involvement and additional resources such as travel assistance and EAP.

Shift: This position is assigned to a 2nd shift schedule.
