Preconstruction Manager

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement preconstruction strategies
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information for accurate cost estimates
• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential issues or conflicts
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive bids and negotiate contracts
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project costs without compromising quality
• Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on constructability and feasibility
• Monitor project progress and budget throughout the preconstruction phase

-Ability to create/modify CAD drawings and work in BIM modeling to detect conflicts.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or related field
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Primavera)
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimating

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
