About the Job:

We’re looking for an experienced Preconstruction Manager to support preconstruction and estimating efforts in the Fenton, MO market . This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional with a strong background in preconstruction, estimating, budgeting, bidding, value engineering, and project planning .

This opportunity is with an established construction management and development company with experience across residential, hospitality, multifamily, senior living, and commercial construction .

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and manage the preconstruction process from initial concept through construction handoff
• Prepare and review budgets, estimates, takeoffs, and cost projections
• Manage subcontractor and vendor bidding and evaluate proposals
• Develop detailed project scopes and bid packages
• Perform value engineering and cost analysis to maximize project value
• Review plans, specifications, drawings, and project documentation
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Identify potential cost, scheduling, constructability, and procurement risks
• Support project scheduling, procurement, and buyout
• Ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction into active construction

What We’re Looking For:

• Significant experience in preconstruction, estimating, or construction management
• Strong understanding of construction costs, budgets, bidding, and estimating
• Experience managing subcontractor bids, scopes, and vendor relationships
• Ability to review and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Experience with value engineering, constructability reviews, and cost analysis
• Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams
• Residential, multifamily, hospitality, or commercial construction experience preferred
