Location: Dublin

Salary: €95,000 to €105,000

I’m recruiting a Preconstruction Manager for a contractor delivering major data centre projects. You’ll help shape projects before they reach site, bringing design, scope, cost and programme together to prepare them for construction.

This would suit someone with experience on data centres or large pharmaceutical projects. A strong understanding of CSA works is preferred, alongside the ability to coordinate with MEP teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage preconstruction activities from initial project review through to construction readiness.
• Work with design, estimating, commercial and delivery teams to establish clear scopes and project requirements.
• Review CSA and MEP information, identifying scope gaps, buildability issues and interfaces between disciplines.
• Develop construction approaches, logistics plans and early project programmes.
• Support tender preparation, subcontractor engagement and technical reviews.
• Identify procurement priorities, including long lead equipment and specialist packages.
• Assess project risks and propose practical solutions before work begins on site.
• Coordinate the handover of information, assumptions and outstanding actions to the construction team.

Requirements

• Experience managing preconstruction, technical planning or early project development on major construction projects.
• Ideally, a background in data centres or large pharmaceutical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of civil, structural and architectural works, with an understanding of MEP requirements.
• The ability to assess drawings, specifications, programmes and construction methods.
• Confidence working across design, commercial and site teams.
• A relevant construction or engineering qualification.

• Salary of €95,000 to €105,000
