The Opportunity

An established and highly respected American General Contractor is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join its growing Texas operation and play a key role on a landmark $2.5B+ healthcare development in North Austin .

This is a career-defining opportunity to join one of the region’s most significant healthcare construction programs and work alongside an experienced project leadership team from early design through procurement and construction.

The successful candidate will take a leading role in developing and managing the preconstruction strategy, working closely with the client, design team, consultants, trade partners and senior project leadership.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience , with significant experience in preconstruction and estimating.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex construction projects.
• Strong healthcare, hospital, life-sciences or mission-critical construction experience preferred.
• Experience managing projects valued at $500M+ , with exposure to projects approaching or exceeding $1B highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction process from conceptual design through GMP and procurement.
• Develop detailed conceptual, schematic and design-development estimates.
• Establish and maintain project budgets, cost plans and value-engineering initiatives.
• Review drawings, specifications and design documents to identify scope gaps, risks and opportunities.
• Lead subcontractor and supplier procurement, including scope development, bid solicitation and bid leveling.
• Manage estimating and preconstruction deliverables in accordance with project milestones.
