Preconstruction Manager (Residential)

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Preconstruction Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding our customers through the preconstruction process, preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, and ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in construction management software, and the ability to effectively negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Work with Director of Sales & Development to ensure new customers are moved efficiently through our Preconstruction process
• Work with architectural and interior designers to develop plans and specifications
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects.
• Utilize software to generate detailed estimates and manage project costs effectively.
• Collaborate with project managers to assess project requirements and develop accurate pricing strategies.
• Conduct site visits to gather information on construction site conditions and requirements.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and implement cost control measures as necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and regulations that may impact project costs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Preconstruction Manager, Construction Estimator or a similar role within the construction industry.
• Experience in using takeoff tools and construction management software
• Strong understanding of construction processes
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferredbut not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
