Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards and incorporate literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable
• Create a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share student progress, discuss developmental milestones, and address individual needs
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor child development and tailor instruction accordingly
• Plan engaging lessons that incorporate child development principles, early intervention strategies, and age-appropriate activities
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student progress and incidents

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom experience is highly valued
• Strong knowledge of childhood development, early intervention techniques, and preschool teaching methodologies including Montessori approaches
• Ability to develop curriculum content that supports literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom management best practices
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and collaboration with colleagues
• Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of child welfare policies is preferred
• Experience with special education needs or working with children requiring additional support is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to plan lessons effectively, adapt to diverse learning styles, and foster a positive learning environment
