What they need
We are looking for an Insurance Audit Analyst with experience in auditing US-based insurance policies, particularly Workers’ Compensation and General Liability.
The role involves reviewing insurance policies, verifying business operations and employee classifications, analyzing payroll records, and checking premium calculations for discrepancies.
This is a detail-oriented role that requires analytical thinking and the ability to handle different types of insurance audits. Candidates with prior experience in US commercial insurance, premium auditing, or insurance underwriting will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of US Workers’ Compensation and General Liability insurance policies.
- Review payroll records, business documents, and other insurance-related information.
- Verify business operations and ensure employee classifications and classification codes are appropriate.
- Review reported exposures and insurance premium calculations to identify discrepancies.
- Follow up with clients to obtain missing documents or clarify inconsistencies.
- Analyze each audit independently, as business operations and insurance requirements may vary.
- Maintain accurate audit documentation and submit completed audits for senior review.
- Manage audit volumes while maintaining accuracy and meeting productivity targets.
- Work with large Excel spreadsheets to review and validate information.
Requirements
- Experience in US insurance auditing, preferably Workers’ Compensation or General Liability premium auditing.
- Understanding of US commercial insurance policies and insurance audit procedures.
- Experience reviewing payroll records, business operations, employee classifications, or insurance premiums.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and spreadsheet analysis.
- Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and request supporting documentation.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Background
Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will be given preference:
- US Workers’ Compensation premium auditing.
- General Liability insurance auditing.
- Commercial insurance underwriting and exposure analysis.
- US insurance operations involving policy reviews, payroll verification, and premium calculations.
Training and Work Environment
Comprehensive training will be provided to help you understand the company's audit processes and requirements. The training period may last approximately 3–6 months, depending on the learning curve and role requirements.
This is a full-time, permanent remote opportunity. The role involves working with a US-based risk management organization and handling varied audits that require independent thinking rather than repetitive processing.
If you have experience working with US insurance policies and enjoy detailed analytical work, we encourage you to apply.
