Preoperative and PACU Nurse Educator

Role: Nurse Educator for Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical education for perioperative nursing teams, designing and delivering evidence-based orientation, competency validation, and ongoing training.
• Partner with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing leadership to identify learning needs and improve quality outcomes.
• Standardize best practices and promote patient-centered care through staff development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work on-site utilizing advanced technology and collaborate with skilled clinicians to enhance perioperative services.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, including preoperative and PACU care.
• Experience in clinical education, training program development, and competency assessment.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to partner with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and staff development.
