Prep Chef

Pinkerton’s Catering is a small independent catering company based in Edinburgh, delivering fresh, high-quality food for private events, corporate catering and special occasions across the city.

We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Casual Prep Chef to join our team on a part-time basis.

• Approximately 16-32 hours per week
• Pay starting from £15.50 per hour DOE
• Flexible shifts, including some evenings and weekends depending on events

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing ingredients and assisting with food prep
• Supporting chefs during busy catering periods
• Maintaining high food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
• Assisting with packing and organising kitchen equipment and food for events
• Ensure everything is appropriately labelled and stored correctly
• Helping with general kitchen duties as required

What We’re Looking For

• Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
• Good organisation and time management
• Ability to work well in a small team
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
• Food hygiene level 2 minimum
