Job Title: Prep Cook (Knife Skills & Line Prep) – Peony Kitchen (Bellevue, WA)

About Us:

Peony Kitchen is a dynamic Fusion Korean and Asian cuisine restaurant located in Bellevue, WA. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to take charge of our cutting and prep station. If you have great knife skills and thrive in a fast-paced culinary environment, we want you on our team!

The Role: Prep Cook

This position is the backbone of our kitchen, taking full ownership of the prep station (cutting board).

Responsibilities:

Handle heavy knife work: precisely cutting, slicing, and portioning meats, seafood, and vegetables.

Prepare house-made sauces, marinades, and garnishes according to our recipes.

Organize and manage the prep station efficiently to ensure the kitchen line is fully stocked for service.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace at all times.

Qualifications:

Strong knife skills are a must.

Previous kitchen prep experience, especially in an Asian cuisine environment, is highly preferred.

Ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.

Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) if needed.

A team player with a positive attitude.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay: $21 / hour + Tips (Pay is negotiable based on experience)

Schedule: [Full-time or Part-time ]
