Prep Cook

You are a candidate if you have 1 year of prepping and cooking in a restaurant kitchen.

You are neat and organized. You like to keep your station very clean. You feel comfortable working in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment. You have basic English skills. You are detail-oriented. You can follow recipes and directions. You have no attitude and you don't bring drama.

If you can perform these tasks or believe you can learn these quickly, we should meet.

• Washing and cooking rice

• Preparing and cutting vegetables, dicing and slicing

• Filleting chicken breast, trimming and tying roasts

• Making sauces using recipes

• Cooking dishes, according to recipes and guidelines

• Organizing areas within the walk-in frigerator and storage room

• Cleaning duties in walk-in, kitchen, and storage areas

Preparation tasks support both our kitchen and sushi menus. All candidates must be teachable and willing to work hard. Must be able to manage one's time to complete assigned tasks, communicate well, and work with others. The more you learn and more you can do, the more pay you can earn.

We share a meal for lunch and sometimes for dinner. Otherwise, get 50% discount for your meal and a 20% discount for you at all other times, even if dining and eating with friends & family.

We are located in the Tyson's Corner area and have our own FREE parking lot, and we're convenient short walks from the Greensboro Station on WMATA's Silver line and also close to a number of Fairfax Connector bus lines 401 and 402.

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Pay: $17.00-22.00+ per hour

Days: Shifts available for most days of the week. Some weekend availability is needed. Also, experience with Japanese cuisine and ingredients is also good.
