Prep Cook

Job Summary

Barsella is an exciting new Italian restaurant opening in Uptown Dallas, and we are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our growing opening team. This is a great opportunity to become part of a new restaurant from the ground up and play an important role in building the consistency, quality, and organization of our kitchen from day one.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in preparation, works efficiently, follows recipes carefully, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. If you’re motivated, organized, and excited to grow with a new Dallas restaurant, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities:

• Complete daily preparation lists according to chef specifications
• Wash, cut, portion, marinate, and prepare ingredients
• Prepare sauces, dressings, vegetables, and other recipe components
• Follow recipes, yields, and portion standards
• Properly label, date, rotate, and store products
• Monitor prep levels and communicate shortages
• Assist with receiving and organizing food products
• Maintain a clean and sanitary prep area
• Follow all food-safety and sanitation procedures
• Assist the culinary team during service when needed

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant prep experience preferred
• Scratch-kitchen experience is a plus
• Strong knife skills are preferred
• Ability to follow recipes accurately
• Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
