Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipe specifications
• Assist with meal preparation and plating to ensure timely service
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, ovens, and other appliances
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools in compliance with food safety standards
• Follow food handling procedures diligently to prevent contamination and ensure food safety management
• Support the culinary team with recipe adherence and consistent food quality during meal preparation
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during busy periods

Requirements

• Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
• Demonstrated food preparation and cooking skills, including knife skills and slicing techniques
• Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and food handling practices
• Experience working in restaurants or food industry settings is highly desirable
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to food safety regulations
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and team members
• A proactive attitude with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail in meal preparation tasks

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 80.0 per week
