Yellow Bell Tacos is an award-winning food concept that serves top ranked Texas BBQ that's been infused with South Texas style and flavors. We are the little sister to Michelin Star Awarded, InterStellar BBQ, the widely acclaimed and top 10 state wide ranked BBQ restaurant in Texas.

Pay

• We offer a base pay rate, plus tips
• The pay range listed on this post is what your pay could look like throughout the year. Your TOTAL hourly pay.
• You can expect to make an additional $5 to $9 per hour in tips on top of your base pay rate
• We operate using a Tip Pool
• All hourly employees on our payroll are included in the Tip Pool
• You'll be paid out bi-weekly

Qualifications

• Must have food prep experience.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handlers Certification required or must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
• Previous experience in the hospitality industry is required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact clearly with team members.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role.
• Ability to work in physically challenging conditions; this may include but is not limited to: prolonged periods of standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies. It also involves repetitive hand and wrist motions. The role requires working with and around hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment in a fast-paced and crowded environment, which can occasionally be loud, unusually hot or cold, and physically demanding.

Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Read and execute recipes
• Complete all food prep from a weekly food order
• Using a cooler, deliver the prepared food to the service kitchen and food trailer (reimbursed for mileage)
• Document the amount of food you prepared each shift, transfer logs, trip logs, and worked hours
• Use the Slack App to access the weekly schedule, prep list, and to post your daily prepped amounts
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Be open to guidance and constructive criticism from management.
• Demonstrate willingness and ability to improve job performance over time and take on additional responsibilities.
• Perform other work related duties as instructed.
• Cook & prepare food according to established recipes and quality standards while following all Health Department and company food handling safety standards.
• Perform all applicable duties and responsibilities in a positive, proactive, efficient, and timely fashion.
• Monitor inventory levels, anticipate issues early and communicate them with management.
• Keep individual stations and all work areas organized, orderly, and clean.
• Clean and maintain all company property, monitor equipment function and proactively alert management of any necessary repairs.
