Prep Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food service industry and a strong commitment to food safety and quality meal preparation. The Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
• Assist with meal planning and menu development, considering nutritional value and dietary restrictions.
• Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
• Maintain equipment and utensils, ensuring they are clean, sanitized, and in good working condition.
• Participate in training sessions on food safety practices and cooking techniques.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with dietary needs and restrictions, including special diets for health conditions.
• Proficient knife skills for efficient meal preparation.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• A passion for cooking and creating enjoyable dining experiences for guests.
