Prep Cook

Job Summary

The Prep Cook supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients and ensuring all stations are properly stocked and ready for service. This position performs daily food preparation while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, organization, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, chop, slice, portion, marinate, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
• Prepare vegetables, proteins, sauces, garnishes, and other items needed for daily service.
• Complete daily prep lists accurately and on time.
• Label, date, store, and rotate prepared foods properly.
• Stock and replenish kitchen stations before and during service.
• Maintain clean and organized prep areas, equipment, utensils, refrigerators, and storage areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cross-contamination procedures.
• Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, and storage.
• Assist Line Cooks and other kitchen team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Prep Cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food quality.
• Food Handler certification required or obtained after hire as applicable.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
