Prep Cook

Pour Decisions Tasting Room is looking for a dependable, motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing food to order while maintaining consistent quality, proper portioning, and a clean, organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and established standards
• Set up and stock the kitchen before service
• Work efficiently during busy service periods
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion sizes
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness standards
• Properly store, label, and rotate food products
• Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items to management
• Assist with prep, cleaning, dishes, and other kitchen duties as needed
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and timely service
• Follow all applicable health department and food safety requirements

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but willing to train the right person
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions consistently
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move kitchen supplies as needed
• Food handler certification preferred

Schedule

Evening and weekend availability is required.
