Prep Cook – Jamaican Restaurant

Pay: $18.50/hour

We are a Jamaican restaurant in Inglewood looking for an experienced Prep Chef to join our kitchen team.

We’re looking for someone who is hardworking, dependable, humble, and willing to be part of a team. This is a hands-on position, and previous professional kitchen experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meats, vegetables, sauces, seasonings, and other ingredients for daily service
• Follow recipes, prep lists, and portion standards consistently
• Wash, cut, peel, chop, and portion ingredients
• Properly label, date, rotate, and store food
• Keep prep areas clean and organized
• Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures
• Assist with cleaning, dishes, and other kitchen duties as needed
• Make sure prep is completed accurately and on time
• Pitch in wherever needed during busy periods

• Strong basic knife and food-preparation skills

• Team player with the attitude that no task is beneath anyone
• Organized and able to work without constant supervision
• Food Handler Card required

Pay

$18.50 per hour

We are a small, growing restaurant and are looking for someone who wants to be part of building a strong kitchen team. Attitude matters just as much as experience. We want someone who works hard, treats others with respect, and takes pride in doing things the right way.
