Prep Cook

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, measuring, and organizing them for daily menu items
• Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and storage areas to ensure food safety compliance
• Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently handling food prep tasks
• Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of prepared foods

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety protocols
• Familiarity with food handling regulations and best practices for maintaining a clean, safe workspace
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety standards
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting the kitchen staff
• Food industry experience including meal preparation, serving, or related roles is advantageous

Pay: From $16.60 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
