Prep Cook

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Prep Cook to join our culinary team on Ka’anapali Beach!

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and standards
• Assist in cooking and assembling dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation quality
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food processors safely and effectively
• Follow food safety protocols and maintain proper food handling practices at all times
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning and sanitation
• Support menu planning by preparing ingredients for daily specials or catering orders
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service

Experience

• Food industry or restaurant experience demonstrating familiarity with food preparation and safety standards.
• Knowledge of culinary techniques including knife skills, slicing methods, and recipe adherence
• Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
