Prep Cook

We are looking for a line/prep cook to fill a vacant spot in our kitchen staff and contribute to the overall excellence of our restaurant. This is a 3-4 hour per day shift. The shift starts at approximately 6:30 am and ends when all tasks are complete (around 3-4 hrs)

Requirements:

• Previous experience is a plus.
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Must have basic knowledge of kitchen safety
• Must know and follow sanitation procedures.
• Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.
• Must showcase great organizational skills.
• Must be able to multitask and act quickly.

A good candidate for this job is a person with attention to detail who can keep their work area tidy and clean all while preparing ingredients for use in our menu items. We pride ourselves on our exceptional service, and we expect nothing less from our cooks. The advantage goes to candidates with a diploma from a culinary school.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing workstations, cooking ingredients, and kitchen equipment for cooking.
• Cutting, cooking, and preparing raw ingredients for the entrees.
• Maintaining a sanitized and well-organized work area.
• Preparing workstations for cooking.
• Preparing and maintaining kitchen equipment.
• Checking the quality of the ingredients.
• Preparing cooking ingredients using various techniques.
• Preparing food using various culinary techniques.
• Manage food storage, stock, and ingredient orders.

We are looking for someone to work as a team player, follow instructions, and help us delight our customers with delicious food from our menu. In addition to cooking prowess, excellent communication and organizational skills are paramount.

We are a breakfast and lunch cafe open from 6:30 am to 2:15 pm, 7 days a week. We serve a traditional menu (eggs any style, omelettes, pancakes, salads, sandwiches, wraps, etc.) We have 2 locations, one in Willow Park (15 min west of Fort Worth) and one in Weatherford.

Pay: Up to $16.00 / hour
