Prep Cook

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the kitchen by assisting with meal preparation and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Duties

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
• Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage practices.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards to guarantee the quality of meals served.
• Support menu planning and execution for catering events or special occasions as needed.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Handle food items with care, following proper food handling techniques to prevent contamination.

Experience

• Previous experience in a dietary department or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with meal preparation, catering, and menu planning will be advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
