Role Description The Prep Cook is a full-time, on-site role based in Greenville, SC. This role is responsible for preparing ingredients, measuring and portioning food items, and assisting with cooking and baking tasks according to standardized recipes and event menus. The Prep Cook supports the culinary team by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen workspace, following food safety and sanitation guidelines, and ensuring that all prep work is completed accurately and on time. The role may also assist with plating, basic food & beverage setup for events, and collaborating with other team members to meet service standards and event timelines.

Qualifications

• Strong food preparation and basic cooking skills, with attention to detail and consistency.
• Familiarity with baking techniques and ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Knowledge of food & beverage handling, food safety, and sanitation best practices.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with culinary and event staff.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or commercial kitchen setting preferred.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require.

Pay scale determined upon experience.
