JOB POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Line cooks prepare the delicious, quality food our brand is known for. The ideal line cook is a food
expert, cares about the details, and remains calm in the face of multiple, complicated tickets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and kitchen specifications.

• Wash, peel, chop, slice, and measure fruits, vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as needed.
  Assist with daily food preparation to ensure the kitchen is ready for service.
  Follow recipes, prep lists, and instructions from the kitchen manager or chef.
  Maintain proper food storage, labeling, dating, and rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
  Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  Keep prep stations, work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
  Monitor ingredient levels and communicate low inventory or supply needs to the kitchen team.
  Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed.
  Work efficiently with line cooks, chefs, and other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
  Minimize food waste while maintaining quality and consistency.
  Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen duties as assigned.
  Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a respectful, team-oriented work environment. Qualifications
  Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling.
  Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established procedures.
  Comfortable using basic kitchen equipment and knives safely.
  Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness.
  Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
  Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry kitchen supplies as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Food Handler certificates
• Ability to carry at least 30 lbs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments
• Able to multitask and organize
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to reach, bend, squat and lift while on the shift
• Ability to withstand frequent exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, and
  extreme cold
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment
• High School Diploma/ GED
