Prep Cook

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented, prep cook to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation processes, adhering to safety standards, and supporting the overall kitchen workflow and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and menu specifications
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and fryers safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food prep activities and ensure timely delivery of orders
• Follow food handling procedures and safety standards in all aspects of food production and storage

Requirements

• Comfortable with repeated standing, lifting up to 40 lbs, and fast, physical work during peak periods.
• Strong communication, ability to follow direction from the person in charge, and a proactive attitude.
• Reliable availability, Tuesday-Saturday.
• California Food Handlers Certificate, or willingness to complete within 30 days of hire date.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 32.0 per week
