Prep Cook

Job Summary: Join our culinary team as a Prep Cook where your expertise in food handling, meal preparation, and food service will play a vital role in the success of our kitchen. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that all food is prepared to meet our high standards. Responsibilities: - Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices - Support the kitchen staff in cooking menu items following recipes and presentation guidelines - Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages to the supervisor - Ensure all food is prepared promptly and adheres to food safety standards - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area - Aid in cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and utensils - Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning and development Skills: - Experience in food handling, food service, meal preparation, and assisting in cooking - Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities - Proficiency in using knives and other kitchen tools - Basic knowledge of menu planning - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and organizational skills If you are passionate about the culinary arts, enjoy working collaboratively in a dynamic kitchen setting, and possess the required skills, we invite you to apply for the Prep Cook position.
