What you’ll do

• Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients with precision.
• Support menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
• Ensure all food handling practices meet safety standards to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including marinating meats and washing vegetables.
• Collaborate with chefs to execute daily specials and catering orders efficiently.
• Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
• Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
• Help maintain a clean workspace by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.

Basic qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is essential.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques are required.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is crucial.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus.
