Prep Cook

Summary of Position:

Accurately and efficiently cook and prepare QCOM menu items as they pertain to our builds and procedures. Prepare and portion food products before cooking according to approved and published recipes. Also perform other duties in the areas of HOH. Be able to cook and prepare various food products, including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, stocks, sandwiches, salads, and other dishes, using various equipment and utensils according to policies and procedures. A prep cook will work directly under the Prep Sous Chef for all items to be prepped for the service line and directed by the Prep Lead for all items about the Grab & Go Program. When approved by the Kitchen Manager, a prep cook is responsible for any production required for food service in the space and will cross-train and fill in as needed.

Ensure all items are prepped for the day on your task list to the restaurant specs found in the on-hand recipe books

· Ensure proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points are maintained and transcribed. This includes all ready-to-eat and prepared foods.

· Must possess a “Sense of Urgency.”

· Assumes 100% responsibility for the quality of prepared goods

· Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, published recipes and specials, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures

· Adheres to our par levels in regards to restocking our pantry

· Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area, including tables, shelves, electric burners, cambros, pasta maker, convection oven, refrigeration equipment, and all kitchen equipment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.15 - $18.00 per hour
